Mapping Out of Unrequited Love.
Unrequited lovers constantly feel disappointed and desperate in love. Remember, the energy (in the form of thoughts and feelings and beliefs) you put out you get back. You may read about this in my blog The Steps Out of Disappointment in Unrequited Love. What you are creating in one-way love is more disappointment and more desperation. Try imagining someone who loves you so much and is so deeply committed to you he cannot even imagine being with anyone else ever! And then take a look at the beliefs you hold about people and relationships. Beliefs are energy you are exuding 24/7!
The ‘Map’ of conscious creation reminds us to ask ourselves some questions when we are pursuing a relationship that is important only to us. A few of these questions have been discussed in my previous post. The next question is:
How are you responding to the world around you?
Your world always reflects what you are sending out in the form of energy. When you are happy within, it reflects in your actions. You automatically become more attractive, because now you know that it is important to know a person well before you give your heart to them. This challenge of winning your heart makes you even more desirable to the opposite gender. I have written about this in my blog Falling in Unrequited Love. If you are happy with what is happening in your reality, thank the universe and enjoy! If you are not happy, go back and redefine your dream, work on your beliefs and your thoughts and feelings, and take a different action. When I loved and lost for the first time, it made me feel like I’d never possibly love again, honestly. It just hurt too much. Along the way, when someone proved that the unrequited love was not the only love of my life, I realized – if I felt this strongly about someone who didn’t love me, how much more would I love someone who loved me back? And when I found that person, I discovered a new meaning of love. The fulfillment of your love being reciprocated is much more than the pain you felt in unrequited love. You begin to see how foolish you were to have wasted so much emotion where it wasn’t even required.
When not working on the relationship, are you happy?
Some people fall head over heels in love with another person, immediately after the heartbroken haze of facing rejection from their beloved is over. It might not seem like a benefit, but it makes you do two things. First, this time you hold back your feelings until you have a hunch about how the other person feels. You play safe and do not make a fool of yourself. Read my blog Ways to Handle Unrequited Love, to learn more about this. Second, you realize that you don’t really need anyone to make you happy. All the bad things that you felt didn’t break you and now you’re happy again.
Find reasons to be happy. Spending your days in worry, doubt and despair won’t help. Start a gratitude journal. Smell the flowers. Read a good book. Travel, date new people. Know this is your illusion and you get to choose!
Do you ask for help?
Find help within. Nobody knows how to help you more than yourself. Because humans are sensually oriented, anything that makes us feel better, becomes a habit. Tending these through introspection, meditation and constant mental training can help distinguish between desire and attachment. Relationships come and go, they don’t always work. More often, they never work. All things pass. Not just in unrequited or one-way love; even if you’re happily married, people do die or people move on, things change. You have to be ready to let go and say to yourself logically “this doesn’t look as if it’s going to work” and always come back to the relationship that you have with yourself.
